There is a hidden danger in the exhaust gas recovery hose, Ducati once again recalled around the world

On July 10th, Ducati officially announced the recall of the Supersport S model from 2017 to 2018. The reason is that the exhaust gas recovery hose of this model is placed too close to the exhaust pipe, and the long driving time is likely to cause the hose to melt, which may cause a safety hazard.

The recall was first carried out in Canada, as Ducati’s models were repeatedly problematic there. Even earlier, there was an accident in the country when the Panigale V4 exploded while riding, and then Ducati made the first recall of the Panigale V4.

Fortunately, there have been no accidents about the explosion of the Supersport S model.

It is understood that the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission informed: "Because the fuel tank and air box exhaust gas recovery hose is close to the horizontal cylinder exhaust pipe, the hose may melt in the lower left area of the motorcycle (below the battery), which is highly likely to cause danger. The accident happened."

Ducati officials said that the Supersport S needs to be re-arranged to keep it away from the exhaust pipe.
